With the costs of bar solder going through the roof manufacturers need to try to offset the dross related losses any way possible. Companies employ reclamation processes but in practice this only yields roughly 1/3 of the original cost of the solder back to the manufacturer.
With their MS2® Molten Solder Surfactant, P. Kay Metal's claims of dross elimination and possibly overall better wetting and defect reduction in wave solder applications almost seem too good to be true. I've read a few articles and "testimonials" but if MS2 was everything claimed, why isn't the entire world using it? Has anyone here had any REAL experience with this patented product that's been in production and use since 2006?
