Hi recently i happen to acquire a Panasonic CM202DH. Anyone has operate it before? Any comments or advises for me if i would need it to run HMLV with about 1 changeover per day. Is it able to mount 0201 inch components?

I've had a CM202DHU since new (10 years) and it is a very reliable piece of kit. I wouldn't be happy placing 0201's but if you use 110 nozzles it is capable. Just make sure that you always line up the feeders prior to running or all you'll here is mis-pick alarms.

I would recommend you purchase a nozzle from Count On Tooling if you plan on placing 0201's. It is possible but as mentioned there will problems with provided nozzles from Panasonic. Again, as mentioned, you have to teach the pick up position everytime the program is reloaded to the machine when placing 0201's. If you do this you'll be very pleased with the machine.

Have you got some modern software to load the unit.

My program PCB Synergy can do some of the Panasonic formats but not this one. It takes less than a day to write if you have some files for me to reverse engineer and the file you read it from.
